Key takeaways
- From Pakistan, TubeBuddy Pro showed $3.60 a month billed yearly and Legend $23.19 (2 Nov 2026).
- TubeBuddy has an outlier tool: Content Outliers, in TubeBuddy Labs.
- Its pricing page states a 30-day refund policy, longer than most tools here.
- A/B tests and competitor upload alerts are not in Pro, according to its plan table.
I want to correct something first, because the wrong version is all over this topic. Plenty of comparison pages say TubeBuddy has no outlier research. It does. Its own blog describes Content Outliers, a Labs tool that finds videos beating their own channels' baselines. I run a competing research tool, so I would be happy if the old claim were true. It is not, and you should know that before you switch for that reason.
A second claim needs care too. You will see "top 3 results" quoted about TubeBuddy's free plan. One third-party review says that limit applies to Keyword Explorer. TubeBuddy's own pricing page does not state it, and it has nothing to do with outliers.
What you get from TubeBuddy today
TubeBuddy is a channel management toolkit with research attached. Read its plan table and most rows are about running a channel: tags, end screens, cards, bulk edits, scheduled updates.
| TubeBuddy plan | Price shown from Pakistan | What stands out |
|---|---|---|
| Pro | $3.60 a month billed yearly, $4.50 billed monthly | Search optimization features, limited engagement tools |
| Legend | $23.19 a month billed yearly | All 50+ tools, A/B tests, title generators, unlimited AI features |
| Enterprise | Talk to sales | For businesses and multi-channel teams |
Those are the prices my browser saw from Pakistan, with rupee estimates beside them. TubeBuddy bills in US dollars, and other countries may see other numbers, so please check from your own location. If you are also in Pakistan, Pro is hard to beat on price, and I would think twice before leaving it to save money.
The fine print is worth a look. Creator plans are for individuals. The page says they may not apply if you run several channels, have 50,000 or more subscribers, or have 3 or more channel managers. A license covers one channel.
Compare by the job you need done
No single tool replaces all of TubeBuddy, so split the work and see which pieces you use.
| Job | TubeBuddy feature | Best replacement |
|---|---|---|
| Keywords and tags | Keyword Explorer, Tag Lists | vidIQ |
| Finding video ideas | Content Outliers (Labs) | TubeMind or 1of10 |
| Choosing a niche | Niche Leaderboard | TubeMind |
| Testing titles and thumbnails | A/B Testing (Legend) | Stay on TubeBuddy, or use YouTube Studio's own testing |
| Bulk cards and end screens | Bulk editors | Stay on TubeBuddy |
| Competitor uploads | Competitor Upload Alerts (Legend) | TubeMind trackers, 3 on Free with email alerts |
Look at the last column. If your rows mostly say "stay", switching will cost you more time than it saves. If they say vidIQ or TubeMind, you have a case. Research tools like mine are read-only: they never touch your channel, which is safer and also means they cannot do your bulk edits.
Keyword tools, scorecards in the extension, an AI coach and a thumbnail generator. The nearest thing to TubeBuddy, with more AI and less channel management.
Up to 50 outliers per search on the free plan, niche verdicts and language-first similar channels. It does not touch your channel, so there are no bulk edits or A/B tests.
AI thumbnails, titles and an editor, plus outlier search. A different shape from TubeBuddy: no tag or bulk tools on its pricing page.

Competitor tracking and an outlier search box at a much higher price than TubeBuddy.
What I like and miss in each one
vidIQ: the closest swap
What I like: the same broad job, with an AI coach and a strong free extension. Boost is $16.58 a month billed yearly.
What I miss: a thumbnail costs 22 credits from a monthly pool that does not roll over. From Pakistan it costs far more than TubeBuddy Pro. More in vidIQ vs TubeMind.
TubeMind: for the step before optimization
What I like: free research that does not ask for access to your channel. You can read the scoring method, and check any video's position with the free rank checker.
What I miss: no volume scores, no bulk tools, no A/B tests. Paid plans are arranged by email for now, because checkout is not open yet.
1of10: if packaging is the problem
What I like: research that never uses credits, and strong AI thumbnail tools.
What I miss: Pro jumps from $19 to $89 billed monthly. My 1of10 alternatives guide goes through it.
YouTube Studio: the free option you already have
What I like: the data comes from YouTube itself. It costs nothing, and only YouTube can see your viewers' behaviour.
What I miss: no bulk tools, and features roll out unevenly. Some are limited by country, language and device.
Should you switch?
- List which TubeBuddy tools you opened in the last month.
- Find them in the table above and count the "stay" rows.
- If you are thinking of leaving over outliers, try Content Outliers first, since you may already have it.
- If research is still the gap, add a free tool next to TubeBuddy. You do not have to replace anything.
Limits of this comparison
I worked from public pages and did not sign in to TubeBuddy for this piece, so I cannot tell you how many results Content Outliers returns or which plan it needs. Its Labs page sits behind a login. The review figure on Keyword Explorer is from a third party and I could not confirm it. "Limited" in TubeBuddy's table is not defined on that page either.

Frequently asked questions
Does TubeBuddy have an outlier tool?
Yes. TubeBuddy's blog describes Content Outliers, a TubeBuddy Labs tool that surfaces videos beating their own channels' baselines, scaled to your channel size. You open it from the All Related Videos tab. Comparison pages that say TubeBuddy has no outlier research are out of date. Its public pages do not state a result limit or the plan it needs.
How much does TubeBuddy cost in 2026?
From Pakistan on 2 November 2026, Pro showed $3.60 a month billed yearly and $4.50 billed monthly, and Legend showed $23.19 a month billed yearly. TubeBuddy charges in US dollars, and third-party pages quote other prices, so check from your own country. Channels under 1,000 subscribers can use a published coupon for 50% off Pro.
What is the best free alternative to TubeBuddy?
It depends on the job. For research, TubeMind's free plan gives up to 50 outliers per search. For keyword and tag work, vidIQ's free plan is the closest match. YouTube Studio itself is free too, and its keyword and audience data comes straight from YouTube.
Is vidIQ better than TubeBuddy?
They do much the same job. vidIQ puts more weight on AI, with a coach and a credit pool. TubeBuddy puts more into channel management, with bulk editors, A/B tests and upload tools. From Pakistan, TubeBuddy Pro costs far less than vidIQ Boost, so price may settle it.
Does TubeBuddy offer refunds?
Yes. Its pricing page says it currently offers a 30-day refund policy and that you should contact support to ask. TubeMind's window is 14 days, 1of10's is 7, so TubeBuddy is the most generous of the three.
